    As a rule of thumb:

    • Simple requests take less time.

    For instance, a fully edited video with a design template, engaging animations, b-roll footage, subtitles, and transitions typically falls within these general estimates. However, please keep in mind that faster turnaround times may apply to requests that are shorter or simpler and do not require extensive editing. Such requests may include Reels, TikToks, YouTube Shorts, or videos that only need minimal editing. With a Pro plan, it’s even possible to have multiple requests edited per day and receive same-day delivery.

    There are many reasons why a request may take longer than usual, but the three most common factors are scope, complexity, and request details.

    Scope refers to the amount of footage involved in the request. If the length of footage is five or more times longer than the final edit, or if the footage consists of many different files and unselected shots, the turnaround time may be longer. 

    Additionally, if you are requesting multiple edits in a single request or if the footage per order exceeds the plan limits of 50 GB in Scale or 100 GB in Pro plan, this could also contribute to a 6YouTube video filmed with cameras that need audio correction and extensive animation.

    Lastly, request details can also impact turnaround times. If the request has some out-of-scope elements or requires additional information, it may take longer to complete. This could include missing files, branding information, or broken links that require further investigation before proceeding with the request.

    As a client, you have the ability to expedite the turnaround time for your requests by making the editing process less time-consuming for your editor. This can lead to a faster turnaround time and increase the likelihood of getting multiple edits per day.

    To help speed up the editing process, we recommend the following:

    Schedule a call with your editor before or after your first order to establish workflow and expectations.

    Provide a detailed request of what you want, including timestamps for longer footage, the sequencing of your video files, and any necessary organizational structure.

    Provide only the shots/files that are necessary for the final edit if there are an extensive amount of files.

    Give your editor time to adjust to your requests, as the first week or two may be slower, but once your editor understands what you want and builds templates and branding for future requests, the editing will speed up.

    If your editor exceeds the general estimate for the turnaround time, it’s likely due to a bigger scope or complexity than average, and they will notify you if extra time is needed.

    In some cases, requests that contain multiple video edits may need to be divided into smaller requests. Additionally, we cannot guarantee the number of videos per day/week/month, as turnaround time estimates can change depending on the smoothness of the request processing and the need for revisions or higher priority requests.

    Overall, providing clear instructions, being patient with the editing process, and communicating effectively with your editor can help ensure a faster turnaround time for your requests.
